The Kailash Holiday ("we", "us", "our") is a division of The Everest Holiday Pvt. Ltd., a tour operator registered in Kathmandu, Nepal. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit thekailashholiday.com or book a yatra with us, why we collect it, and your rights over it.

What we collect

When you fill in a contact, custom-quote or booking form on this site, we collect:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• The package, dates, group size and preferences you tell us
• Any messages or notes you write
• If you proceed to booking: passport details required for Tibet permits, and payment information

We also collect technical information automatically when you visit the site: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time spent. This is anonymised by Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies:

• A language preference cookie so we remember whether to show you English, Nepali or Hindi (essential — set by next-intl)
• A session cookie when you use the booking flow (essential)

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioural trackers.

How we use your data

• To respond to your inquiry and quote your yatra
• To process your booking, apply for Tibet permits and Chinese group visa
• To send you trip information, packing lists and pre-departure briefing
• To handle payment and refunds
• To comply with Nepali tax, tourism-licensing and anti-money-laundering law

Who we share data with

We share the minimum necessary personal data with:

• Tibet / China permit authorities — passport, photo and travel dates, as required for the Group Tibet Permit and Chinese Group Visa
• Hotels, transport providers, airline and helicopter operators — name and contact only, as required to issue tickets and reservations
• Payment processors — eSewa, Khalti, Razorpay, our bank — for the limited purpose of processing the transaction
• Form delivery — Web3Forms (web3forms.com) routes website inquiries to our email
• Hosting — Vercel Inc. hosts this website; Cloudflare Inc. provides DNS and email forwarding

We do not sell your personal information. We will only disclose data to government or law enforcement when legally required.

How long we keep it

• Inquiry-only contacts: up to 24 months after last contact, then deleted
• Confirmed bookings: 7 years (Nepali tax retention requirement)
• Anonymised analytics: indefinite (cannot identify you)

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• See a copy of the personal data we hold on you
• Correct anything wrong
• Delete your data (except where we are legally required to keep it)
• Stop sending you trip-update emails

Children

Pilgrims under 18 may travel only when accompanied by a legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 outside the context of a guardian-led booking.

Changes

If we update this policy we will publish the new version at this URL with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be emailed to anyone with an active booking.
