Our most affordable Kailash Mansarovar yatra. 13-day overland route via Syabrubesi and the Kerung border, travelling by group bus across Tibet for full Mansarovar parikrama and the sacred 3-day Kora.     Arrival in Kathmandu

    Airport pickup with welcome drink. Transfer to a 3-4 star hotel in Thamel. Evening yatra briefing.

    Kathmandu temples tour

    Pashupatinath darshan, Boudhanath stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath. Final paperwork for Tibet permits.

    Drive Kathmandu → Syabrubesi (1,460 m)

    Drive 7-8 hours north along the Trisuli river to the small border town of Syabrubesi. Overnight at a guesthouse.

    Drive Syabrubesi → Kerung (2,900 m)

    Cross the friendship bridge into Tibet at the Rasuwagadhi-Kerung border. Tibet immigration and short drive to Kerung guesthouse.

    Drive Kerung → Saga (4,640 m)

    Cross onto the high Tibetan plateau. Saga is a small frontier town and good acclimatisation stop before pushing west.

    Drive Saga → Lake Mansarovar (4,590 m)

    Long drive across the plateau to the holy lake. Evening puja by the shore, holy bath at sunrise the next morning.

    Drive Mansarovar → Darchen (4,675 m)

    Short drive to Darchen, the gateway for the Kailash Kora. Trek prep and gear distribution.

    Drive Darchen → Yamdwar, trek to Diraphuk (4,860 m)

    Begin the Kora. Drive to Yamdwar, then trek 12 km up the Lha Chu valley with the north face of Kailash directly above. Tea-house overnight.

    Cross Dolma La (5,640 m) → Zuthulphuk (4,790 m)

    The hardest day. Pre-dawn start to cross Dolma La pass, descend to Zuthulphuk. Yak / porter / horse support available (extra cost).

    End Kora → drive back to Saga

    Short final stretch of the Kora to Darchen. Drive across the plateau back to Saga for the night.

    Drive Saga → Kerung / Syabrubesi

    Long descent from the plateau. Cross back into Nepal at the Kerung border. Continue to Syabrubesi or stay overnight at Kerung depending on road conditions.

    Drive → Kathmandu

    Final 7-hour drive back to Kathmandu. Free evening, farewell dinner with the team.

    Free morning. Airport drop-off as per international flight time.
