About this yatra

Muktinath, at 3,800 m in the Mustang region, is one of the most powerful Vishnu shrines in the Hindu world and equally sacred to Buddhists as Chumig Gyatsa. The 108 holy water spouts (Mukti Dhara) are believed to wash away lifetimes of karma when bathed in. Choose between our 7-day Flight option (with the scenic 20-min Pokhara ↔ Jomsom flight) and the 8-day overland Drive Only route (via Tatopani, Marpha and the full Kali Gandaki gorge). Both start and end in Kathmandu and include Manakamana cable-car darshan plus full Pokhara sightseeing.

    Arrival in Kathmandu

    Airport pickup with welcome drink. Transfer to a 3-star hotel in Thamel. Evening yatra briefing.

    Kathmandu sightseeing

    Pashupatinath darshan, Boudhanath stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath. Welcome dinner in the evening.

    Drive Kathmandu → Manakamana → Pokhara

    Drive to Kurintar, take the cable car up for Manakamana darshan, continue to Pokhara. Evening at Phewa Lake.

    Fly Pokhara → Jomsom → Muktinath darshan

    Early 20-minute flight to Jomsom (2,720 m). Drive 30 min to Muktinath (3,800 m), darshan and 108 holy taps. Return to Jomsom for the night.

    Fly back to Pokhara, sightseeing

    Morning flight to Pokhara. Visit Davis Falls, Gupteshwor cave, Bindabasini temple, World Peace Pagoda. Evening boating on Phewa Lake.

    Scenic 6-hour drive back along the Trisuli river. Free evening, farewell dinner with the team.
