From Delhi

Delhi pilgrims ask

Is there a direct flight from Delhi to Kathmandu?
Yes. Air India, IndiGo, Vistara and Nepal Airlines all operate daily direct flights from Delhi IGI Terminal 3 to Tribhuvan International Kathmandu. Duration: 1 hr 45 min. Round-trip economy fares range ₹15,000–₹30,000 depending on advance booking. Direct routes are non-stop with no layover.
How much does Kailash Mansarovar Yatra cost from Delhi in 2026?
Package costs are identical regardless of departure city: overland 13-day from ₹1.8 lakh, overland 15-day from ₹2.9 lakh, helicopter from ₹2.9 lakh per pilgrim. Add Delhi-Kathmandu round-trip flight (₹15,000-30,000) and personal expenses. Honest total budget from Delhi: ₹3.5-3.75 lakh per pilgrim, including international flight and tips.
Can I book Kailash Yatra from Delhi without flying — only overland?
Yes. Take a Volvo or VandeBharat to Lucknow/Gorakhpur, then continue overland via Sunauli/Bhairahawa border to Kathmandu (24-30 hours total). Most economical for Punjab/Haryana/UP-Delhi groups travelling together. We coordinate Sunauli pickup and arrange Kathmandu transfer once you reach Nepal soil.
How early should Delhi pilgrims book for Saga Dawa 2026?
Saga Dawa is the peak demand window (May 31 – June 30, 2026). Helicopter Yatra slots typically fill 12+ weeks ahead. Overland packages have more flexibility — 8 weeks ahead is comfortable. We strongly recommend booking by mid-March for any Saga Dawa departure from Delhi.
Do I need a passport, or is Voter ID enough for Indian pilgrims from Delhi?
For the Tibet Group Permit, Indian citizens can use Election ID (Voter ID) — a bilateral India-China arrangement. However, you still need an Indian passport for international travel to/from Nepal. Most Delhi pilgrims travel on passport for simplicity; Voter ID is the fallback for those without passport.
Where in Delhi do you do pre-yatra briefings?
We don't have a physical office in Delhi — all coordination is via WhatsApp, email, and video call with our Kathmandu team. For groups of 10+ pilgrims booking together, we can arrange a Zoom briefing call in Hindi with the lead guide 2 weeks before departure to walk through packing, documents, and altitude prep.
